Local know-how

How we mow North Texas grass

Rockwall and Lavon lawns take a beating in the summer heat. The mowing height and the timing matter more than people think.

Cut height

Bermuda 2 to 3", St. Augustine 3 to 4"

St. Augustine needs the extra leaf to shade its roots and hold moisture. Cut it short and it thins out.

How often

Weekly in peak season

From May to September, a weekly cut keeps us under the one-third rule. Never take more than a third of the blade off at once, or the lawn goes pale and stressed.

We keep an eye out

Chinch bugs, brown patch, grub worms

Irregular dry-looking patches, rings after wet weather, turf that peels up like carpet. If we see it, we tell you.

FAQ

Lawn mowing questions

What day will you come?

We set a regular service day for your street and stick to it. If weather changes the plan, you hear from us first.

Do I need to be home?

No. Leave the gate unlocked and pets inside on your service day. We close everything behind us.

What happens when it rains?

Mowing wet grass tears it up, so we shift your visit to the next good day and text you the update.

Do you bag the clippings?

We mulch them back in on a normal cut, which feeds the lawn. If the grass has got away and the clippings are heavy, we deal with them.

What if I'm not happy with the cut?

Tell us. We'll come back and make it right.
